FsClient, version 7 User Manual
FsXPand 7 comes in 3
versions: Basic, FMS, an Light. Comparison of version sis found at www.flyware.nl.
Users of previous versions will have to buy an upgrade.

The downloaded (unlicensed) version is fully functional. The only
limitation is a time limitation. You can connect to your clients for a
maximum of 30 minutes (unpaused airtime, basic v. 20 minutes). After
this, FsXPand will shut down. The licensed
program has no such limitation. The unlicensed version will show a
banner. You can remove it with a click on it.

What is new in 7.x
- Gauges now can be selected from available types. They can also be
saved as your new type after your editing them.
Available types for a number of gauges: Cessna, Collins, Beechcraft,
Bendix/King, Boeing, Flyware and Generic.
A number of generic gauges have been updated. The old type is still
available in the Legacy type.
- Black cockpit at startup
In Panel setup, you can choose wether you want the gauges to be black
when the battery switch is off.
The Radio frames will stay, they are supposed to represent hardware.
Radio digits will be black when avionics off. To be set per panel and
individually per gauge.
- The Custom label can now have a color, a digit, or both. Great to
make your own annunciator panel. The active label will now respond with
a front change, or display a value. Choose black - white and add a
butterfly mask in your MIP, and presto: a prop sync indicator.
- Battery voltage - amps - vacuum gauges added
- Cessna gauges added
- Digital clocks
- Kingair gauges added
- Bendix/King navigation instruments added
- Legacy altimeter, vor, turn coordinator and hsi replaced by better
- Failures added: gauges will go black, when a failure flag in FS is

FMS: An entire new extension.
FsXPand is now compatible with CPFlight MCP/EFIS/Radios. Just check the
hardware menu in your master machine.
PFD and ND can be on any client PC, as can the CDU display and
keyboard. Depends only on the performance of the machine. The CDU is
again another FsClient gauge.

there are unused engine gauges in every configuration to modify instead.

What is new in version 5.7
The import function will get your FsClient settings as well from your

Round engine gauges are no longer static, they can be linked to

This separate program will allow you to take full control of the gauge
layout and all its elements. It can do much more than the gauge options
in FsClient itself.
You can have the border around gauges off if you want.
In FsXPand, there is a FS on top - maximized option.
A few bugs an oddities fixed.
All specific round gauge elements like needle shapes,
flags and bugs
are bitmap based. They are in the GBmp directory. Their application is
governed in the script files (.ini). You are on your own when editing
You can switch all round gauge frames off with one tick. Turning of the
frames increases performance greatly.
To see the gauge names displayed, you need to set the option in the
